Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you use pawotrait.com or buy from Pawotrait ("we", "us"), run by Amogh and Tanishq from Pune, Maharashtra, India. By using the site or placing an order you agree to them, together with our Privacy policy and Shipping, returns and refunds policy.

1. Who can order

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law. We sell and deliver only within India. You sign in with your Google account and are responsible for activity on your account.

2. Our product

Each portrait is laser-engraved onto premium wood from the photo you upload, and made to order for you. Please keep in mind:

  • Wood is natural. Grain, knots and tone vary from board to board, so no two portraits look exactly alike.
  • The on-screen preview is a guide to layout and size. The finished engraving shows your photo in shades of wood, so colours, tiny details and contrast will look different from your photo and from the screen.
  • The result depends on your photo. Sharp, bright, well-lit photos give the best detail.
  • Sizes are in inches and may vary slightly.

3. Your photo and engraving text

When you upload a photo or enter text, you confirm that:

  • you took the photo or have permission to use it;
  • it doesn't infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or privacy;
  • it isn't offensive, unlawful or hateful.

You keep ownership of your photo. You give us permission to use it only to make and deliver your order. We may refuse or cancel an order, with a full refund, if a photo or text breaks these rules or can't be engraved well. We engrave your text exactly as you typed it, so please check spelling before paying.

4. Prices and payment

  • Prices are in Indian Rupees and include taxes. Delivery is a flat ₹99 per order, shown before you pay.
  • Payment is taken in full at checkout through Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking, wallets). We don't offer cash on delivery.
  • If a price on the site is clearly wrong because of an error, we'll contact you before making your order and you can cancel for a full refund.
  • We may change prices at any time. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.

5. Your order

Your order is confirmed once your payment succeeds and we email you a confirmation. If we can't make your order for any reason, we'll tell you and refund you in full.

6. Making and delivery

We usually engrave within 1 to 2 working days, and delivery within India takes about 3 to 5 working days after dispatch. These are estimates, not guarantees; couriers, holidays and remote pincodes can add time. Please give a complete address and a reachable phone number. 7. Cancellations, returns and refunds

  • You can cancel by emailing pawotrait@gmail.com with your order ID. If engraving hasn't started, we refund you in full. Once engraving has started, the order can't be cancelled because the portrait is personalised.
  • Because each portrait is made from your photo, we can't accept change-of-mind returns.
  • If your portrait arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, send photos within 48 hours of delivery and we'll replace it, or refund you if we can't.
  • Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 7 working days.

8. Reviews and content you post

Reviews must be honest and about your own experience. By posting one you let us show it on our site. We may remove reviews that are fake, offensive, unlawful or unrelated to Pawotrait.

9. Chat assistant

The chat on our site is an automated assistant. It can make mistakes; if anything it says differs from these terms or our policies, the terms and policies apply. For anything about a specific order, email us.

10. Our content

The Pawotrait name, logo, website design, text and our own photos belong to us. Some photos are used under licence (see Photo credits). Please don't copy them without permission.

11. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the site: no attempts to break its security, place fraudulent orders, scrape it or interfere with other customers. We may suspend accounts that do.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't liable for indirect losses. We aren't responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or courier and payment network outages.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to sort things out. If we can't, the courts in Pune, Maharashtra have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.

15. Contact and Grievance Officer

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
